Nirgal Weaverer, (-2544, -2465) was a dancer in Nippur.
Nirgal believed in Folk religion.
She lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. She was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, she made some friends among it. She had a refined culture, and was known to read, and sometimes write, for pleasure. She was strong, beautiful, and long lived. She was considered spiritless, and unable to make a decision.
Nirgal, 71 years old, dancer, became the new leader of the family.
At the age of 79, Nirgal invested time and efforts into a special craft : a precious bells. People admired her for this work and Nirgal decided to keep it as a family treasure. Later, Nirgal had her faith strenghtened.
