Ogheneme Nguyener, (59, 139) was a toolmaker in Engaruka.
Ogheneme believed in Berber religion.
She lived a life of poverty. She was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. She was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, she made some friends among it. She had only a basic knowledge that summed up to a few oral stories from childhood. She was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. She was soft-spirited, rejecting any responsability.
Ogheneme, 72 years old, toolmaker, became the new leader of the family.
Aged 80, Ogheneme invested time and efforts into a special artistic creation, but it wasn't a success, for she had no enough culture. People made fun of her attempt at creation, and Ogheneme lost courage. Soon after, Ogheneme became lazy. The same day, Ogheneme was praised for her work. A few weeks later, Ogheneme fell in love with Fasika, a beautiful man, 25 years old, a mercenary. Both married and lived together from now on.
Ogheneme died of exhaustion after a normal day of work.
