Chikondi Nguyener, (6, 86) was a salt miner in Engaruka.
Chikondi believed in Animism.
She lived a life of poverty. She was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. She lived as an outcast. To tell the truth, in Engaruka, she gained the trust or the friendship of no one. She had no culture at all and lived like a beast. She was vigorous, muscular, and had a near perfect body. She was a determined one, living an independant way of life.
Chikondi, 72 years old, salt miner, became the new leader of the family.
At the age of 80, Chikondi spent time and money for the people that needed help. Later, Chikondi barely survived an earthquake.
Chikondi died peacefully in her sleep.
Aged 93, Chikondi was not married at the time, but if she were, she would surely have divorced.
6 years later, Chikondi needed money. She resolved to sell a family treasure : the sickle. It was a difficult decision, and the sale granted her a huge sum of money.
