Gilukhipa , (818, 900) was a monk in Bigo Bya Mugenyi.
Gilukhipa believed in Animism.
She lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. She belonged to the low caste of the society, and had some friends among the servants, beggars and workers. She was seen as a true poet, and legends says that she couldn't live without reading and writing. Years after, some of the works Gilukhipa made are still enjoyed and sometimes studied. She was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. She was known as resolute, with a true entrepreneur spirit.
Gilukhipa, 56 years old, monk, became the new leader of the family.
In the year 889, Gilukhipa invested time and efforts into a special artistic creation, but it wasn't a success, for she had no enough culture. People made fun of her attempt at creation, and Gilukhipa lost courage. A few weeks later, Gilukhipa had a big fight and broke ties with a member of the family. Soon after, Gilukhipa broke a leg.
11 years later, Gilukhipa decided to enjoy life. She spent everything she earned for the pleasure of the body and the mind. Many people in Bigo Bya Mugenyi were invited to enjoy life with her, and thus, she made many friends. A few days later, Gilukhipa invested in a better food. Nine months after, Gilukhipa got a big sunburn that drove her mad for days. A little while after, Gilukhipa fell in love with Aksil, a beautiful man, 30 years old, a burglar. Both married and lived together from now on.
