Beren Retardius, (-1322, -1249) was a jeweler in Troy.

She was doing well financially. She owned a house and some fine goods with it. She was considered as a worker, belonging to the laborer caste of the society. She had struggles in accessing safe and well payed jobs and businesses. However, she made many friends. She was of a sophisticated culture, masters a couple of languages, and always curious to understand other cultures. She was strong, beautiful, and long lived. She was considered strong-willed, a leader at heart.
Beren, 33 years old, quarryman, became the new leader of the family.
Aged 44, Beren decided to settle somewhere else. She packed a few possessions and departed for a new place. The departure was sponsored by a local figure that gave her a recommandation, so she would be welcomed wherever she went. However, she found no place to settle, so she turned around. Half a year later, Beren felt unlucky.
Beren got an arm crushed by a big pile of rocks. As a consequence, she had to change her activity. After some time and some learning, she became jeweler.
At the age of 59, Beren spent time and wealth to improve her living space. Now it was much more comfortable, and beautiful. A little while after, Beren participated at a coup, but failed and had to get away. The travel was uneventful, and a little bit boring and long. The family settled in Troy.
In the year -1249, Beren invested all her time and energy in her work. A few days later, Beren found a beautiful jewel while walking in the wilds nearby Troy. Half a year later, Beren sold everything she didn't use.
