Lweendo Retardius, (-1937, -1881) was a basket maker in Katsina-Ala.
Lweendo believed in Shamanism.
He lived mostly in extreme poverty. Simply eating was an issue, most of the days. He was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, he made some friends among it. He had no culture at all and lived like a beast. He was weak, and fell ill all the time. He was known as resolute, with a true entrepreneur spirit.
Lweendo, 14 years old, was chosen to be the new leader of the family. However, he was too young for now and was raised by a friend of the family.
At the age of 16, Lweendo, 16 years old, basket maker, became the new leader of the family.
Aged 27, Lweendo needed more love in his life and began to flirt around. Lweendo had a passionate affair with Kesandu, an average looking woman, 16 years old, a salt miner. A bastard child came out of this short lived love. It was an ugly girl named Zegiga. Lweendo had no choice but to adopt Zegiga who became part of the family from now on. The same day, Lweendo experienced insomia.
15 years later, Lweendo spent a lot of time thinking and meditating about his beliefs. Nine months after, Lweendo was afraid to spend a life devoid of purpose. A few days later, Lweendo began to fear death.
14 years later, Lweendo understood that only the fittest can survive and swore to be the best. A few weeks later, Lweendo began to drink often. A few days later, Lweendo was robbed in a street of Katsina-Ala during a dark night.
