Shabaka Wazoo, (-1816, -1762) was a gatherer in Danangombe.
Shabaka believed in Animism.
He lived a life of poverty. He was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. He was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, he made some friends among it. People saw Shabaka as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which he did for friends. He was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. He was iron-willed, achieving any goal he set.
Shabaka, 42 years old, gatherer, became the new leader of the family.
Aged 54, Shabaka decided to settle somewhere else. He packed a few possessions and departed for a new place. The travel was the occasion to do some merchandise dealing, and he made some business. The family settled in Danangombe. The same day, Shabaka was tricked by a confidence man. A little while after, Shabaka enlisted in a local militia. A few weeks later, Shabaka fell in love with Abeba, a beautiful woman, 35 years old, a toolmaker. Both married and lived together from now on.
At the same time, Abeba got pregnant, and gave birth to a monstrous looking boy named Alara.
