Awawa Ironbreacker, (-1954, -1897) was a basket maker in Ngwenya Mine.
Awawa believed in Shamanism.
He lived a life of poverty. He was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. He belonged to the low caste of the society, and had some friends among the servants, beggars and workers. He had no culture at all and lived like a beast. He had a sane way of life, exercising regurlarly. He was mostly indecisive, usually accepting any order from anyone.
Awawa, 45 years old, basket maker, became the new leader of a new branch of the family.
Aged 57, Awawa invested all his time and energy in his work. At the same time, Awawa had his ear pierced. Later, Awawa fell in love with Aat, a monstrous looking woman, 30 years old, a quarryman. Both married and lived together from now on.
At the same time, Aat got pregnant and gave birth to an adorable baby. However, the baby died in the following year by a mysterious disease. The whole family was shaken.
Awawa died in his bed, with all his friends by his side.
