Akpobome Jewelerkin, (-1926, -1891) was a beggar in Ife.

He lived a life of poverty. He was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. He was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, he made some friends among it. He was seen as a true poet, and legends says that he couldn't live without reading and writing. Years after, some of the works Akpobome made are still enjoyed and sometimes studied. He was strong, beautiful, and long lived. He was known to be lazy, barely waking up in the morning.
