Persenet Akibaoui, (-1688, -1633) was a copper smith in Nok.
Persenet believed in Shamanism.
She lived a life of poverty. She was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. She belonged to the low caste of the society, and had some friends among the servants, beggars and workers. People saw Persenet as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which she did for friends. She was strong, beautiful, and long lived. She was considered strong-willed, a leader at heart.
Persenet, 34 years old, copper smith, became the new leader of the family.
At the age of 45, Persenet stole something and never got caught. Half a year later, Persenet had a wondrous dream of a infinite ocean. At the same time, Persenet fell in love with Lweendo, a stunning man, 33 years old, a weaver. Both married and lived together from now on.
On the first day of the month after, Persenet got pregnant and gave birth to an adorable baby. However, the baby died in the following year by accidental suffocation. The whole family was shaken.
10 years later, Persenet invested time and efforts into a special artistic creation, but it wasn't a success, for she had no enough culture. People made fun of her attempt at creation, and Persenet lost courage. Half a year later, Persenet broke a leg.
Persenet died in her bed, with all her friends by her side.
