Kerubo Clerkoui, (1270, 1344) was a builder in Amud.
Kerubo believed in Berber religion.
She lived a life of poverty. She was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. She was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, she made some friends among it. People saw Kerubo as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which she did for friends. She was physically powerful, with a perfect body in a perfect health.She had an unbending mind, always reaching their goal.
Kerubo, 62 years old, builder, became the new leader of the family.
Aged 74, Kerubo decided to go back to where her family came. She packed a few possessions and departed for a the old place she often talked about. The travel was fascinating, and she learned many things on the road. The family settled in Amud. A few weeks later, Kerubo was rejected from her community. On the next full moon, Kerubo fell in love with Yaro, a charming man, 36 years old, a salt miner. Both married and lived together from now on.
