Persenet Le fur, (-1902, -1825) was a musician in Engaruka.
Persenet believed in Animism.
She lived a life of poverty. She was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. She was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, she made some friends among it. She had a refined culture, and was known to read, and sometimes write, for pleasure. She was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. In the life, she was able to take a few important life-changing decisions.
Persenet, 46 years old, musician, became the new leader of the family.
9 years later, Persenet spent time and wealth to improve her living space. Now it was much more comfortable, and beautiful. Soon after, Persenet mourned the loss of a dear friend.
Aged 70, Persenet decided to settle somewhere else. She packed a few possessions and departed for a new place. The travel was uneventful, and a little bit boring and long. The family settled in Engaruka. Soon after, Persenet had nightmares. Nine months after, Persenet fell in love with Djedhor, a charming man, 40 years old, a toolmaker. Both married and lived together from now on.
At the age of 77, Persenet decided to visit the world. She went on a long journey and reached Akkad, in Central Asia : a city of big buildings over the river Tigris. The travel did change her, making her stronger than before. Then she came back and was quite happy to find her house and family. A little while after, Persenet slept more. A little while after, Persenet went through a depression.
Persenet died of exhaustion after a normal day of work.
