Nekesa Naples, (1055, ?) was a tales teller in Bigo Bya Mugenyi.
Nekesa believed in Berber religion.
She lived mostly in extreme poverty. Simply eating was an issue, most of the days. She was considered a standard citizen of their society, with as much power than most of the people. She was seen as a true poet, and legends says that she couldn't live without reading and writing. Years after, some of the works Nekesa made are still enjoyed and sometimes studied. She was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. She was considered spiritless, and unable to make a decision.
