She lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. She belonged to the low caste of the society, and had some friends among the servants, beggars and workers. People saw Zoputan as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which she did for friends. She was vigorous, muscular, and had a near perfect body. She was a determined one, living an independant way of life.
Zoputan, 49 years old, toolmaker, became the new leader of the family.
Aged 59, Zoputan invested time and efforts into a special artistic creation, but it wasn't a success, for she had no enough culture. People made fun of her attempt at creation, and Zoputan lost courage. Soon after, Zoputan got a tatoo. On the next full moon, Zoputan fell in love with Nedjeh, an average looking man, 31 years old, a spinner. Both married and lived together from now on.
At the age of 71, Zoputan decided to improve her knowledge. She found a mentor that teached her many new useful and wonderful things. On the next full moon, Zoputan had a mystic vision.
Aged 79, Zoputan decided to enjoy life. She spent everything she earned for the pleasure of the body and the mind. Many people in Booco were invited to enjoy life with her, and thus, she made many friends. Nine months after, Zoputan began to drink often.
