Khensa Monkgil, (-1333, -1203) was a salt miner in Katsina-Ala.
Khensa believed in Shamanism.
She lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. She belonged to the low caste of the society, and had some friends among the servants, beggars and workers. She was known to have a good technical knowledge of their job and some pieces of general knowledge. She could read and write a little bit. She was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. In the life, she was able to take a few important life-changing decisions.
Khensa, 115 years old, salt miner, became the new leader of the family.
Aged 130, Khensa decided to enjoy life. She spent everything she earned for the pleasure of the body and the mind. Many people in Katsina-Ala were invited to enjoy life with her, and thus, she made many friends. On the first day of the month after, Khensa set herself the goal of being rich.
