Bat-Shahar Medinasson, (-897, ?) was a goldsmith in Jerusalem.
Bat-Shahar believed in Folk religion.
She lived mostly in extreme poverty. Simply eating was an issue, most of the days. She was considered as a worker, belonging to the laborer caste of the society. She had struggles in accessing safe and well payed jobs and businesses. However, she made many friends. She was seen as a true poet, and legends says that she couldn't live without reading and writing. Years after, some of the works Bat-Shahar made are still enjoyed and sometimes studied. She was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. She was considered spiritless, and unable to make a decision.
