Amasis Kanitaoui, (151, ?) was a musician in Volubilis.
Amasis believed in Berber religion.
He was rich, and owned many houses, many goods. Among these possessions, he began an art collection. He belonged to the low caste of the society, and had some friends among the servants, beggars and workers. He was seen as a true poet, and legends says that he couldn't live without reading and writing. Years after, some of the works Amasis made are still enjoyed and sometimes studied. He was robust, stunning, and never got sick a single time. He was soft-spirited, rejecting any responsability.
