Canaan believed in Mandaeism.
He lived a life of poverty. He was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. He was rather respected though seen as belonging to the middle class. However, he could access to many opportunities. He had a refined culture, and was known to read, and sometimes write, for pleasure. He was strong, beautiful, and long lived. In the life, he was able to take a few important life-changing decisions.
