Jean Khalaf, (1471, ?) was a writer in Istanbul / Constantinople / Byzantium.
Jean believed in Calvinism.
He lived a life of poverty. He was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. He was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, he made some friends among it. People saw Jean as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which he did for friends. He was strong, beautiful, and long lived. He was a determined one, living an independant way of life.
