Akiba Hodges, (1396, ?) was a coal miner in Delhi.
Akiba believed in Shamanism.
She lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. She lived as an outcast. To tell the truth, in Delhi, she gained the trust or the friendship of no one. She was seen as a true poet, and legends says that she couldn't live without reading and writing. Years after, some of the works Akiba made are still enjoyed and sometimes studied. She was physically powerful, with a perfect body in a perfect health. She was soft-spirited, rejecting any responsability.
