Akpobome Girod, (-1178, ?) was a potter in Kalambo Falls.
Akpobome believed in Shamanism.
He lived a life of poverty. He was able to eat and sleep under a shelter, but ended with having no possession at all. He was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, he made some friends among it. People saw Akpobome as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which he did for friends. He was weak, and fell ill all the time. He was a determined one, living an independant way of life.
