Kasaqa Gilarpido, (-1926, -1836) was a shepherd in Ngwenya Mine.
Kasaqa believed in Shamanism.
She lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. She belonged to the low caste of the society, and had some friends among the servants, beggars and workers. She had only a basic knowledge that summed up to a few oral stories from childhood. She was physically powerful, with a perfect body in a perfect health.She was known to be lazy, barely waking up in the morning.
Kasaqa, 75 years old, shepherd, became the new leader of the family.
At the age of 90, Kasaqa spent time and wealth to improve her living space. Now it was much more comfortable, and beautiful. At the same time, Kasaqa spent a year reflecting of her actions. On the first day of the month after, Kasaqa fell in love with Ibada, a beautiful man, 35 years old, a latrines keeper. Both married and lived together from now on.
