He lived mostly in extreme poverty. Simply eating was an issue, most of the days. He was considered as a worker, belonging to the laborer caste of the society. He had struggles in accessing safe and well payed jobs and businesses. However, he made many friends. People saw Monopthalmos as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which he did for friends. He was vigorous, muscular, and had a near perfect body. He was considered spiritless, and unable to make a decision.
Monopthalmos, 13 years old, was chosen to be the new leader of the family. However, he was too young for now and was raised by a friend of the family.
In the year 1108, Monopthalmos, 16 years old, soldier, became the new leader of the family.
In the year 1113, Monopthalmos invested all his time and energy in his work. A few days later, Monopthalmos began to fear death. Half a year later, Monopthalmos adopted a dog. On the next full moon, Monopthalmos fell in love with Juliette, an ugly woman, 29 years old, a monk. Both married and lived together from now on.
At the same time, Juliette got pregnant, and gave birth to a beautiful boy named Monopthalmos.
