She lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. She was considered as a worker, belonging to the laborer caste of the society. She had struggles in accessing safe and well payed jobs and businesses. However, she made many friends. People saw Zegiga as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which she did for friends. She had a sane way of life, exercising regurlarly. In the life, she was able to take a few important life-changing decisions.
