Alara Andareohoh, (-856, -791) was a beggar in Katsina-Ala.
Alara believed in Shamanism.
He lived a life of absolute poverty. Eating or sleeping in a safe place was a constant struggle. He was considered as belonging to the lowest caste. However, he made some friends among it. People saw Alara as cultivated, eager to read and learn when possible, and mastering writing, which he did for friends. He was force of nature, and people saw in their body and beauty the incarnation of a god. He was iron-willed, achieving any goal he set.
Alara, 53 years old, beggar, became the new leader of the family.
12 years later, Alara spent time socializing with people in Katsina-Ala. He made some strong friendships (and a couple of enemies). On the next full moon, Alara experienced insomia.
